My first season in the KHL has ended. It was full of ups and downs. While my time in Russia has been a great experience, unfortunately my hockey season was cut short due to a difficult knee injury. I had surgery on my ACL and I am still in the process of recovering. However, up until the injury, I was able to start more than 20 games and get a lot of quality playing time.
I came into training camp last year ready to go, in large part due to the great goalie training I received over two months during the offseason.
With the help of Jukka, I was able to iron out some of the flaws in my game and we really focused on the technical aspects of my stance and my glove positioning.
I look forward to another great spring and early summer because all this makes me feel confident about getting back on the ice and feeling 100% healthy.
Once again, I need to be prepared for the next season which will be my second one for Torpedo Nizhni Novgorod in the KHL.
